Rules and Regulations

  1. All students shall follow the rules and regulations of the college. A declaration accepting these rules and regulations and agreeing to abide by them should be each candidate and the parent or guardian on admission.
  2. Stay at the hostel is compulsory for all students. All students shall strictly abide by the rules and regulations of the hostel governing their conduct and discipline.
  3. The students should speak only English in the campus.
  4. Students should dress themselves neat and tidy avoiding exaggerated fashions.
  5. Students should refrain themselves from any indiscipline unfitting to members of the profession Ragging is strictly prohibited.
  6. Library Two books will be issued to one student at a time for exam in duration of two weeks. All the books, journals and other printed materials in the library should be handled with care.
  7. Caste certificate (in case of candidates making any claim)
  8. Attendance
    • Regular attendance as well as punctuality is expected from the student for lectures, demonstrations, practicales, field works and other such academic exercise as well as in clinical experiments.
    • A minimum of 80% attendance is required in theory and practicals. Separately in each subject to be eligible for appearing in the university examination.
  9. Internal assignment is carried out as per the university norms. A candidate shall secure not less than 50% of marks prescribed for internal assignment in subject/paper to be eligible to appear in the examination.
  10. Students should not cause any damage to the college, hostel or hospital property.
  11. Use of mobile phone is strictly prohibited in the college and hostel campus.
  12. All students should be in full uniform their classes, clinical and community postings.
  13. Examination.
      • Schedule of examination. The university conducts two examinations annually at an interval of not less than four to six months as notified by the university from time to time. A candidate who satisfies the requirement of attendance, progress and conduct as stipulated by the university shall be eligible to appear for the examination.
      • Criteria for pass
        A candidate shall secure not less than 50% marks in aggregate i.e. obtained in university examination and internal assignment add together, both for theory and practical’s separately. A candidate failing in theory or practical will have to appear for both theory and practical in the subsequent examination in that subject.
      • Declaration of class only in final year.
        75% and above	      Distinction
        65% to 74%	      First class
        50% to 64%	      Second class.

    If a Candidate pass the examination in more than one attempt he or she be shall be placed in pass class irrespective of percentage of marks secure by him.

    • Carryover
      1. A candidate failing in more than two subjects will not be promoted to the next year.
      2. Candidates shall not be admitted to subsequent higher examination unless the candidate has passed in all papers in the previous exam.
    • Maximum number of attempts in duration of the course.
      The maximum number of attempts permitted for each paper is 3 including the first attempt.
      Maximum period to complete the course successfully not exceed 8 years.
    • Award of Degree
      Must have 100% attendance in each of the practical areas before award of degree.
    • Uniform
      All students are required to wear uniform and ID card prescribed by the institute. And the all female students put their hair up during class and only a pair of simple ear studs are allowed.
